Guadalupe Mountains National Park

This one is pretty simple: we dropped in, climbed to the highest point in all of Texas, and left. It’s not a big park! Beautiful though. The hike was tough; it’s only about 8-9 miles, but with 3000 ft of elevation gain, and the hike starts a mile above sea level. We were both gassing out pretty quick, and by the time we got to the top I was feeling some significant altitude sickness. Still, great hike! We lucked out too, this peak is supposed to be incredibly windy, but it was just a little breezy on this day.
