The Adirondack Mountains
This was another area that really made me appreciate how lucky we are to be traveling this way. I don’t think we’d have ever made it to the Adirondacks normally, but since it was on the way to Maine, we drove on some of the nicest and most scenic roads and spent several days hiking viewpoints and mountains. The views were slightly hampered by a combination of overcast skies and wildfire smoke, but there’s another advantage of our trip: when we’re seeing SO MUCH stuff, the stakes are lower if one particular place or area doesn’t work out.
