Olympic National Park, Part 1: The Coast

After leaving Mount Rainier, I was excited to get back to the Pacific coast. The weather was slightly better in Washington than Oregon, but it was still overcast and gloomy for most of our visit. I realized this was actually a gift, in that I could shoot in the middle of the day and not have to worry about harsh light. I just needed to adjust what I was shooting and how I was shooting it. One of my goals in photography is to not just capture how a scene looks, but how it feels, or how it felt when I was there. I think I succeeded with several of these images.
