Canyonlands National Park

This park is massive, and to truly see it you need to come with an off-road vehicle and head into the backcountry (this is a common theme in Utah). Still, we had a great time and saw some amazing wide-open landscapes.

The Needles

This is the less-visited area of Canyonlands. We spent an extra day here just hanging out because the campground was very chill.

I love the solid blocking of the color in this one.

Needles Campground

The campground was surrounded by a huge rock formation that was fun to climb up on for evening photography.

Chesler Park Hike

We couldn’t get the bus to the closer trailhead for Chesler Park, so we had to start right from campground, which added several miles. We were dragging a bit this day, so we only made it to the overlook, but it was a nice trip into the backcountry with few people around.

Island in the Sky

This is the more touristy section of the park, where you can drive to most of the viewpoints and the hikes are either pretty short or multiple days long.
