Arcata Community Forest
We were having an issue with the exhaust pipe on our bus, uhhhh, falling off over and over, so after getting that fixed in Eureka, we stopped for a quick forest bath to wash the stress away.
Elk Prairie Campground
Immediately as we pulled into our campsite at Redwood National Park, we encountered this Roosevelt Elk bull just hanging out nearby. We saw him several times over our stay, he was pretty chill and would wander through the campsites eating grass.
Miners Ridge - Fern Canyon - James Irvine Trail
Our big hike at this park took us through old-growth Redwood forest, out to a beautiful foggy beach on the ocean, and back through a fun fern-lined canyon.
DeMartin Beach
We stayed at this pull-off a few nights before leaving California, it was a strangely peaceful place even though we were right next to the highway.
