Presque Isle State Park

Molly flew to Montana for a last-minute horse-riding trip with her step-sister, so I had a few days to myself. Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA is supposed to be a top destination for birding, but that wasn’t my experience. Maybe it wasn’t the right time of year (though I would think we’re in the fall migration period), but I saw very few birds (with the exception of a lot of Great Blue Herons and Northern Flickers). It also didn’t help that the trails in the park were not set up very well for wildlife viewing; there are a lot of great ponds and marshes in the park that you just can’t see from the trails. So while I was a little disappointed, I did end up with a few images that I really like.
